How do I drain the coolant in my 1996 Pontiac Sunfire 2.2? - 1996 pontiac sunfire serpentine

I will be a thermostat evil in my 1996 2.2 LTR 4cyl Pontiac Sunfire ... I found housing for the thermostat and I'm ready to go, if I can judge an opportunity to the coolant and engine found in the drain.

How can I do?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

You will receive a discharge does not matter what I get, but you really have to avoid all the coolant to the engine and radiator drain to a big mess. Most GM vehicles have a drain tap at the bottom of the cooler, but unfortunately it is depend on it, and are made of plastic, it's a good chance that it will not work if you want to force him. The easiest way to get the coolant is out of the clamp on the hose that goes to the radiator and loosen the drag hose. You will need a large pot of water to get the all, and it will spray, but it's really the best way. Good luck!

I agree with Michael G, I think the drainage of the vehicle by the lower radiator hose.

I do not believe that these new cars, a leak in the bleed valve of the radiator, I do not know his mine to 92 just take the lower radiator hose to do to change the thermostat.

You must have a drain plug in the radiator is at the bottom of things. If the flight be sure to take some kind of liquid in the container. Refrigerant is environmentally friendly as well as poisoning animals such as smells and tastes sweet to them. It is very sad to see this kind of poisoning an animal. Cause convulsions, nerological, froathing in the mouth, and so on. So please remember, if you do too.
